Hi Dodino Island population,

As you already know, the competition for being part of Dodos riding Dinos is hard, VERY HARD!!! 

There are a lot of Dodos with different color schemes in the island and Dinos who want to compete for the Dodosaurus Egg-throne. 

The new dinosaur challengers are ready. 

Yes, you read that correctly, the next dino challengers (in plural) will be a team. 

Why? Dodosopher said that if you want to arrive faster, go and run alone, but if you want to go further, you must run together. 

Detestable Games agree with the Dodosopher, we always say that by adding forces, you end up multiplying forces.

So, with the new Dino challengers ready, the casting for the proper Dodo is still open.

We're looking the right Dodo for this challenge.

By the way, have you ever tried the Dodo diet?

It's an easy one, you can eat everything you want, except Dodos.

The Dodo casting is a heavy one because the candidates are following rigourously the Dodo diet and the results aren't what we expected.

We are sure this group of Compsognathus will find the perfect Dodo for the race. This is very emblematic for us, because this new miniature is a monument of our gratitude to all of you for joining into this project. You have been asking so much for a fat dodo pulled by small dinos than we wanted to make that a reality; as you kept asking for a fat dodo, our artist kept exaggerating the illustration and sending us updates for fun but don't worry, the dodo will be moderately large. This adventure is being awesome thanks to you, so, we'll continue working hard for doing Dodos riding Dinos the best game it can be.

Keep following the next updates for details of this (maybe the last) Dodino couple.. errr... team, in the game. We have more cool surprises after this one; and who knows? if you keep crushing stretch goals, we might be able to create more minis. As you already know, we need to continue spreading the Rooooooaaaarrrwww!

Hello Dino Riders, 

A new feature appears in Dodino Island, with the Ice Trail unlocked you gave us the opportunity to develop the Dodo Cup Mode. In this new game mode, you'll be able to get Power Cards. They will give you perks for your next race. Do you want to know more about this type of cards? Remember again Dodo Walker advice: Keep running for crushing the next SGrrrooooaaarr!!!

Finally, we have a name for the new Dodo and the Ankylosaurus.

Here's a preview of the Ice trail, we're working hard on it and in the next game board that will be a dream come true for us if we can unlock it. It's important to notice all the new Stretch Goals, are "Work in progress stage". We have been receiving amazing ideas, but also "warning comments" about balance; stay confident, please continue sending your ideas, at Detestable Games we can assure you we'll be careful in The Test Table with balance and play testing.

Dodino Island, Creature Kingdoms Universe, May 6th 2020, captain's log. This day will be remembered as a cold one. With almost a photo finish ending, we hit the 2000 backers milestone and unlock the current SG.

The Ankylosaurus Name Quest enters the final round, we have the finalists, please vote for your favorite in this survey. Just as the other Dodino couples, this dodo's name will be based on the real-life discoverer or another paleontologist with involvement on the species (In this case Peter Kaisen or Kenneth Carpenter). We took the most popular and interesting suggestions for the Ankylosaurus name. Let us know your favorite combination!

And now, the next big moment, the next Stretch Goal! Put your coats on!

What do you think about this ice trail? We love it and having new boards is very exciting for our team; they are the first step for developing the Dodo Cup Mode, a game mode where you need to play 4 tracks with different dynamics and score points to find out who's the best Dodino couple.

A good day for unlocking Spencer & Stromer  and for yelling: Graaaaaawwwwr all planned strech goals unlocked in less than a week!!!! You are awesome, thank you.

Here's the new Dodino couple presentation. 

This ferocious dinosaur will join into the race to claim the Dodosaurus Egg-throne! Along with its dodo who has a cute heart birthmark on its hip. Named after the real-life discoverer of the Dinosaur's fossil, just as all other dodos!

This duo has a peculiar way of racing with an adaptation that looks like that of some modern vehicles with a side-pod, which of course do not exist in Dodino Island.

This is what you have accomplished in just 1 week! Take a look to the evolution of the game during these days.

 We are delighted to see that everything we wanted to see in the base game has been unlocked! As you know, 1st print run will be limited and most likely will have a ton of extra content that future mass-distribution copies won't have, so thank you!! 

But we are not over yet! We will keep re-investing extra funds into enhancing the game! More stretch goals coming!

However, it is important to note that these new stretch goals consider extra tooling costs, plus production beyond the minimum print order. In other words, the next stretch goals have higher separation and amounts of funds needed. Particularly all of those which require extra molds. BUT we feel confident than in 3 weeks (or maybe less??!) can unlock them all as well just as you did for all our planned stretch goals in just 1 week!!! RAAAAAAAAAWWWWR!!!

We want to hear you, please fill the following survey for knowing your preferences and we can arrange accordingly based in your priorities! Let's hope we unlock them all! 

Also, the Language Quests are going well. Keep spreading the Raaaaaawwwrr for unlocking more quests. We have seen a lot of involvement in social media from French-speakers, we believe we might complete the quest within this week!

Hi Dino Riders!

Another big sunny day in Dodino Island. We're receiving a lot of comments, it's good to know you liked the last update. So, here's a great surprise:

We unlocked the first player token: The First-player marker Dodo Meeple! The fastest to take it will be the first player and will be passed to the left each round. Just like in Dodino Island, the winner shall sit in the Dodosaurus egg-throne and wear this cute Dodocrown.  

Now it is a great opportunity to clarify a misunderstanding. Before deciding who will be the first player and beginning the race, players must decide whether to play with miniatures or dodimeeples, during the competition you won't change a miniature for a meeple for the dexterity shoots. We are still waiting for our manufacturer response to make foam or rubber projectiles that can be friendly with miniatures. In the cup mode we are preparing you will also need both components to keep track of the overall score, but more about that later... 

The Social Goals are going well too! Can you show us your Super Dino Love? All of these are great to raise awareness of the campaign for potential backers who have not seen our awesome game and even coolest community around it.
